There is a lot adjacent to Victory. Note: Most parking in downtown Decatur is paid. If you want to park for free, you'll need to find street parking somewhere nearby.
Great spot for a late-night bite and drink. Stays open until 2 and has a tasty menu. My husband and I wanted to get out of the house late one night and decided to stop by here. The menu is very simple and the food is very decently priced. They have a "popcorn of the day" which is $3.50. When we went it was cheddar and jalapeno (I believe). They have several sandwiches, which is what they're known for as a sandwich bar. There is a vegetarian option called the beeter, which is pretty good. It's consists of beets and kimchi and cost $4. Each basket comes with a small amount of chips so I do recommend ordering an additional side if you are hungry. There's also a drink menu which is as lengthy as the food menu. My husband said his drink was REALLY good. They also have ping pong in the back of the restaurant for those who might want to burn a little energy. I love the atmosphere this place which is and open and very laid-back cool. Highly recommend.
Smaller sandwiches and great cocktails. Perfect for a weekend lunch.
This place used to have good tasting food until they got rid of their best burgers. They got rid of the Brisky Business and replaced it with beast on yeast, which is uses a ton of horseradish and is just not edible. Please bring back Brisky Business and the T-Bird.
Stopped by for the first time during the Decatur Book Festival and the line was out the door almost the entire time. The sandwich was smaller than expected, but was just enough to fill me up. Most others would want to get two. They're cheap enough that that doesn't seem like an issue. Also got the "Boozy Coke Slushy" which tasted mostly of rum, but I'm not complaining. If you're expecting a hint of rum, this drink isn't for you. Will definitely be back for the tiki bar in the future!
Great food, great service!
Went with friends that live in the area. Food, service and drinks were all wonderful!
I like the ideology of Victory Sandwiches $4-$5 mini sandwiches in variety of favors. BUT every sandwich is not created equal ( 4 sandwiches later ..) so order carefully. Pick-up after online ordering , is a breeze. Recommended Sandwich : Mile High Club.
I would call this place good, but not great. The prices and the drinks made me happy, but the food was simply mediocre and warrants three stars. Four star service made it an overall decent experience.
Nice place, awesome drinks and sandwiches (cheap!) and good music. We'll come back!
Tasty, old man bar snacks and drinks along with hip urbane offerings.Highly Recommend the food and the drinks.Retro music and old movies projected on the wall set a lively mood.Get comfy and drink up.Ping pong table in the back, too.
A must visit. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good sandwiches. Good drinks.
It was my first time in, food was very yummy, prices are very reasonable. Tiki bar in the back, beyond the ping pong table is so awesome! Sara is the best! Or cocktails were delicious and the service was stellar. It's our new spot now!
Overpriced pub sandwiches. One would be better off calling this place a bar with a "few" tiny sandwiches.
We come here almost every Tuesday for bike night. They have great small sandwiches that you can order a few like Tapas. Really big on the cocktails and a decent beer menu. Staff is always friendly and the operational owner is often on-site ensuring quality.
Great spot to walk to from the strip after having a few drinks to get a snack. Customer service was great!!! Menu is limited but has some interesting options and the sandwiches are small and come with half a hand of chips for $4.00. A little high for the serving size to me but it's still affordable and it taste good. Seating inside and out. Some type of pool table in the back by bathrooms.
I love this place! All the sandwiches that I've tried have been great, service is awesome and it has a cool atmosphere.
Best mixed drinks in Downtown Decatur. Cheap food as well!
Sandwichs and drinks are excellent, but I keep coming back for the Kale salad. I always add chicken and it's my go-to lunch. I also highly recommend their chips and homemade dip. Can't go wrong with Victory! Always friendly service.
Nice variety of alcoholic beverages and food. The menu isn't overwhelming, like other places, making it easier to decide what you want. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was great too. The prices are good; the food portions are a bit small though. I'll definitely come back soon.
Awesome service and food! The sandwiches are small ones, so that you can have more choices for one meal!Mile High Club is my favorite, with chicken, ham, bacon, avocado and something I can't name. Tea Bird is also chicken sandwich, which is good, but a little bit spicy. Porkmon is fine, just I personally don't like bbq sauce. The flavor of Victory at Sea is.. interesting.. We also tried Ramen as side, strong flavor. Chips come with sandwiches. That's my favorite chips! It's a nice place to hangout with friends, as they also have many kind of beers. And the atmosphere is pretty awesome .
The portions are extra small for the price.
Probably the best sandwiches I've ever had. And they're open late (2am I think) so even better. They're a bit small so you may have to order a few. That said, their pricing is extremely fair. I've seen the amazing reviews over the past few years and had been meaning to go but couldn't justify driving down to Decatur for a sandwich shop. All it took was one visit and I now have no problem justifying the drive.
Great place for small bites. Sandwiches are on the small side but they make a great snack and the Pimento Cheese Jar can’t be beat. Victory also has some pretty neat drinks like their spiked sodas or their Jack & Coke Slushie. Great spot for a casual date or something and close to lots of other bars/restaurants in the area.
Sandwiches are fine, chips are not made in house but come in a bag (the kind fried in peanut oil). I think they could do a lot more as far as food prep to help elevate the place, for example making homemade chips.
Great atmosphere and super personal service. The food was fresh and delicious. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant to my friends. Convenient rates and large meals. Good job.
Awesome place to eat and hang out! The staff treats every customer with respect. One time, a group of people stole an empty table that we were supposed to have next, and a staff member kicked that group off, then gave us the table. How's that for great customer service?
Great spot for a quick bite and a drink, open for lunch and late. Great grilled sandwiches and an ever changing bar menu are artisan quality. I think they have some of the best bartenders in Decatur working here, and the cocktails are very much all worth a try. I loved the painkiller when it was on the menu, but a Jack and Coke icee works in a pinch! Every year they have a luau and roast a whole pig, it's a great event worth attending. Great group of folks who really love what they do with a punk rock attitude. Hit them up!
Whiskey - coke slushy for the win! The Hambo was delicious as was the sea - salt - chocolate chip cookie. Yum - yum!
Great popcorn flavors but drinks and sandwiches were just ok
I've only had drinks here but the cocktail menu is unique!
Delicious drinks, great customer service and yummy sandwiches that are surprisingly filling!
Food so good when you're drinking. They go well together.
Nice place. Good drinks. Try the bourbon slush. Ping pong table there. Seems very popular place. Parking as always in Decatur is a pain.
Cocktails were good. Not crazy, but good. Service was fine.
Great small bite spot. Sandwiches are the perfect size. All are very good. Jack and Coke slushies are the real reason to go.
Great atmosphere, service and excellent Whisky Smooties!!!
I understand that I'm on a very specific diet, but you can't tell me no one else in Decatur is either. I can't do bread, so I asked for a sandwich with no bread and kindly asked if they could do a lettuce bun instead. The bartender said they "don't have lettuce wraps." So I said, "Oh! That's okay, can you have the kitchen just toss some lettuce on the plate?""I'm sorry we're not allowed to modify the menu."You mean to tell me... That there's no way to walk back to the kitchen, grab a handful of lettuce, and put it on the damn plate? It's lettuce. I know they have it, it's on the menu. This is the most ridiculous and pretentious thing I have ever heard of from a restaurant. I can't believe I paid for anything. Went down the street to try something else and the next restaurant was so incredibly accommodating. I just don't recommend eating here if the staff is going to be rude and the menu is inflexible.
Service was quick and very attentive, nice atmosphere but they charge you twice for mixed drinks. Once for the shot and extra for the mixer. When I asked about the surcharge I got a couple different answers, one was blaming tough times on the corona virus and the other was that they had to open a can of soda for the ginger ale in my drink. Honestly if they would have just charged me 9$ a drink I would not have mentioned a thing, but splitting it up at 7$ for whiskey and 2$ for ginger ale like I ordered something out of the ordinary (I ordered a whiskey ginger) it would have made sense. Just kinda got on my nerves a bit. Spend some money here and you’ll have a good time, just know that the oxygen you breathe in that bar is a chargeable offense and come in with a couple bucks more than the menu asks for.
I visit this Popular Restaurant nightly. It is a Very hospitable place for meets and greets. Parking is just outside the southern entrance and stays open late nights. Many people visiting the city enjoy the view around the Decatur GA area. Highly recommended!
Me and some friends happened upon Victory for some after dinner drinks. I am SO glad we stopped in! The world famous whiskey and coke slush was AMAZING! Great atmosphere.
Fair price for good food. I've eaten most of the sandwiches. And they're always consistent. Cool locale.
Cheddar Popcorn and Jack and Coke Slushie 👌🏼
It’s like a tapas and deli sandwiches had children together. You get a few and a pint of beer and you’re in heaven. I got a couple to go for lunch the next day. Great thing is they stayed well and my lunch was fantastic the next day.
Sandwiches were good, but definitely on the smaller side, makes sense though considering they are about $4 each. Beer was expensive in my opinion at $7 a " Mason jar"
Yes. A tasty treat for all to eat. Pictured is the Roast Beast. Menu changes frequently.
Visited Victory to celebrate a friend's new job. Their drinks are delicious! It's not the must gluten free or paleo friendly restaurant, but the options they have were good. We enjoyed their patio as well! Nice casual spot in Decatur.
This place is remarkable. It’s like tacos but they are sandwiches. Only about four or five bucks apiece and two goes along way. The drinks are incredible and they usually have some fun beers on tap. I’ve never had to wait for a table and they are open late. 10 out of 10, I love taking people here from out of town.
Fantastic food, friendly staff and reasonable prices. This is easily one of my favorite places to eat/drink in Decatur
Great small sandwiches and drinks! Try the Frozen Whiskey and Coke!
We really enjoyed our lunch at Victory Sandwich Bar! They have a lot of fun sandwiches to pick form, all of which are very reasonably priced. They have a fun and varied drink menu and the staff was very friendly. The space is bright and airy with huge windows to let in light. A perfect lunch spot!
